Baked Ravioli

I made this new recipe for dinner last night, and while it was pretty stinkin' good (and cheesy), I think it would have been better as a side dish, especially when you have two grown men living with you who need meat a billion times a day! It was so simple to make, less than half an hour, and it only has a few ingredients! This Baked Ravioli would be awesome alongside a spinach salad, and your favorite type of meat (ours is chicken!). The recipe for Baked Ravioli is listed below!

Ingredients:

~1 (16 oz) package cheese-filled ravioli (I used Bertolli)

~2 cups marinara sauce (I used the whole jar)

~1/3 cup of cream cheese, cubed (I used the whole package to compensate for the extra marinara sauce I used)

~1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

~1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

~1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese**

~1/4 cup grated parmesean cheese**

Directions:

1.Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly oil an 8x8 baking dish

2. In a large pot of boiling water, cook ravioli until tender, about 2-3 minutes; drain well

3. Combine marinara sauce and cream cheese in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until cream cheese has melted, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in thyme and parsley.

4.Spread ravioli into the prepared baking dish. Top with marinara mixture and sprinkle with mozzarella. Place into oven and bake until cheese has melted, about 15-20 minutes.

5. Serve immediately, garnished with parmesean and basil, if desired.

**I ended up using the whole bags of both cheeses, just because we all love the extra cheesy goodness!

I adapted this recipe from Yummy Healthy Easy and absolutely loved it, especially because it was easy and cheesy, my two favorite things!
