I realized that not many people may actually know too much about me! Well actually, I'm hoping my blog has been shared so many times on Facebook that it is reaching people who have never met me. So I guess I will make one post an "About Me" type deal...
So, I'm 20 years old and I currently live in Hawaii with my husband, Cory, and our 2 dogs, Kuper and Sophie. I moved to the island of Oahu on January 16, 2015 to be with my highschool sweetheart who is stationed out here. I arrived to the island on a Friday night and we were married that next Tuesday! Cory and I have a loooooong history, and while I was in the middle of typing our "love story", I realized that was a lot of information to put on the internet, especially when I'm in the middle of trying to get a new job. But yeah, we live in Hawaii, Cory is a soldier, I'm an army-wife, and life is pretty cool. We actually just celebrated our first wedding anniversary on the 20th, and Kuper's 2nd birthday is this coming week!!
Cory and I do the usual married things; he plays videogames, I binge watch Grey's Anatomy. We both work everyday. He is a chinook repairman in the US Army and I work for Kama'aina Kids, an after school program here in Hawaii. I am a Group Leader for 30 second and third graders, and even though some of the kids are super hyper crazy, I love every second of it! I ultimately want to be a second grade teacher, hopefully at a Catholic school.
We are currently planning our move to Fort Drum, New York! In November, Cory got orders for us to move there this upcoming March, a whole year before we were supposed to leave the island. Since the new year started, everything has been about moving across the country to basically Canada... I am so unbelievably excited to move back to the mainland. I haven't seen my family in over a year now, because flights to Hawaii from Florida are so damn expensive. But now that we are moving back to the mainland, I will get to see my family a lot more, and we will actually get to spend holidays together! Moving to New York is going to be such a change for both of us. We are both from Florida (no snow), and now we live in Hawaii (absolutely no snow) and we are moving to upstate New York (all the snow in the world). I honestly can't wait, though. I can't wait to see how the dogs react to seeing snow for the first time! As of today (1/24), we have 47 days left!!!!!!
I am the youngest of 4 girls; Morgan is 23, Tyler is 22, Cami is 21, and I'm 20. Even though I'm the youngest (and the best), I have always been the one who loved to cook. I was always the daughter in the kitchen helping mom or dad (usually because it meant I would get out of doing the dishes that night) cook dinner for the family. They would give me the smaller responsibilities; making the garlic bread, tossing the salad etc. until I got better and better.Next, I would occasionally make a side dish or dessert just to help out and say that I did something significant. Then(fast forward a few years), when it was just me and my dad, I started cooking dinners to help my dad out. They started out as simple things, like tacos or spaghetti, but I remember making my dad salmon one night and he was amazed! Cooking has always been something I have just had a knack for, and I realized that when I got married, I could really improve my skills and impress my new husband!
I hope you guys got to learn a little bit more about me, and I hope you guys have been enjoying my blog thus far! Keep sharing, tell your friends and family, comment, subscribe if you haven't already, and just please help get the word about my blog out!
Much love from Hawaii!
